There will be a video highlighting youth experiences on the trek, including pictures, interviews, etc. followed by thoughts by President Tolman. ARRIVAL TIME UPDATE

The buses have departed Oklahoma! Right now the estimated arrival time is between 4:30 and 5:00 am. I will continue to update as they get closer.

Day Four - All is Well

This morning, the last of the trek, our pioneers broke camp and headed out on the last leg of their journey to the "Salt Lake Valley."

They stopped and were able to have some reflection time as families. They talked about what they have done this week, how they feel about their experiences, what it means to them, and how they are going to apply this learning going forward.

They had lunch, and then a pony express rider (who looked a lot like President Tolman) arrived on horseback with letters from home for all of the youth. They were given 30 minutes of their own to reflect, read their scriptures, write in their journals, and pray.

Next, the group split into the 3 companies for testimony meetings. The surroundings were beautiful, and the testimonies expressed very heartfelt.

Finally, they walked the final distance into "Salt Lake City", where they were greeted by "Brigham Young" (who like the pony express rider, also looked a lot like President Tolman) and many others. There was much cheering and rejoicing upon their arrival!

Right now, all of the belongings are staged for departure, and they have eaten a dinner of Shredded BBQ Beef, salad, and potato bar. They are getting changed and ready to head home!

I am sure more pictures will trickle in, and I will post them when I get them. I wanted to get today's update up earlier so that you can share in their fantastic experiences of the day.

Keep an eye on the blog. I will post departure and estimated arrival times.
